Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Potatoes (About 8 medium potatoes)
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. pepper
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • High smoke temperature oil (peanut, canola, sunflower, etc.) for frying

Optional

  • Other seasonings
  • Bacon
  • Cheese

Cooking Instructions

  1. Wash potatoes, peel if desired.
  2. Slice potatoes into your desired fry shape
  3. In a pot, bring water to a boil. Place potatoes in the boiling water
  4. Remove, and place into a bowl of ice water
  5. Once cooled down, remove from the ice water and pat dry with paper towel
  6. Gently toss in flour and lightly coat fries
  7. Heat up oil to a temperature of 375 F.
  8. Place fries into the oil, and fry until golden brown (about 7 minutes)
  9. Remove from oil, and place on paper towel to dry.
  10. Place fries into a bowl, and toss with salt, paprika, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and other desired seasonings.
  11. If adding bacon and cheese, place under broiler for a few minutes to melt the cheese.
